Monster NTune Review!!
To start things off we will start with the design. The design is nice with a soft rubber pad on the top and soft ear cushions but since the headphones are on-ear headphones they could hurt the ear of some listeners. The Ntune’s also have an adjustable head strap and rotating ear cups for the best fit. What I found very helpful is that there in not 1 but 2 headphone jacks on the earphones which can be very handy when you want to share the music or video with someone else but don’t have a headphone splitter. It also is handy because you can choose from which side you want the jack to connect. Monster also included a tangle free cable and an inline remote with a pause and play and clicking twice to change song. There is also a microphone at the same place as the inline remote. If you would like to see what else came in the box, the unboxing video it will be below.
I think the only a couple bad points with the design is that on the ear cup rims, the paint is starting to fade and that the Monster NTune headphones can break in the
top corners if you have a big head and need to constantly extent the headphones to fit it on your head. This problem has happened to my brother after about 6 months of use. The plastic cracked on both sides, however the headphones still work as good as they always have. Another bad point is that the headphones do not fold which also increases the risk of the headphones breaking.
Now with that all out the way how does the headphones sound? Well, the headphones sound amazing! They sound very much like Beats By Dre, but just at a way cheaper price. The Monster NTune’s definitely have a great amount of bass.
The sound production on these headphones is just what most casual consumers want, big-time bass, but with mids and highs that can roll with the punches. A response like this won't satisfy studio requirements, but other consumers can really enjoy booming bass. Noise isolation is great when listening at a bit higher volume than usual and leakage is extremely minimal.
Conclusion
Anyone on the hunt for a flat, studio response will need to keep on searching, but for all other consumers the Monster N-Tunes definitely serve up the big bass that so many buyers.
In the end if comfort is everything to you, I recommend investing in a plush set of overear headphones instead. But if on ears don't bother you and really want a cheap alternative to beats then you'll score big for just under US$45.00!!
