Moving on to the design The Blade V2 has a removable, very shiny plastic back which attracts a lot of finger prints just like any glass does. Talking about glass, when the phone first arrived I got fooled in thinking it was glass however it was just the shiny plastic. Removing the back cover revels the micro SD card slot that can hold up to 32GB. Also at the back we can find a speaker that can get muffled when placed on the table or playing games. As well as a 8MP camera with Auto focus, and a LED flash.

The front contains a 5" HD IPS display giving out a resolution of 1280 x 720. At the top of the screen is 5MP Front facing camera as well as earpiece for calls. The bottom of the screen we find 3 capacitive buttons that light up in the dark, which is really handy.

Along the phone we can find a grey frame with sliver trimmings. This makes the phone a little dull in my opinion. Heading to the top of the phone we find a 3.5 headphone jack as well as a microphone and at the bottom of the V2 we find another microphone as well as a MIRO USB charging port. Switching over to the right side we find a power and volume up rockers that are very nice to click. The left side we find a dual NANO-SIM tray with SIM 1: 4G/3G/2G and SIM 2: 2G only.

The phone itself feels a little to hard to hold for long periods of time as the back is quite sharp. The phone also feels a little heavy weighting in at 121g. The Blade V2 is 145.5 high, 71 wide, and 7.8mm thin.

Now the internals,

The Blade V2 has Quad-Core Processor Clocked at 1.0 GHz. 1 GB RAM. 8 GB of internal memory. 2200mAh Li-ion which is not user replaceable. The Battery lasted me about a day with 10% left.

The camera on the Blade V2 is a bit of a let down having a 8 MP camera which is decent, but most of the time in the images the colours become blown out. The Blade V2 also has a lot of different modes such as, Live Photo mode, Motion Tracking Mode, Face Beauty Mode, Panorama Mode, and as well as Multi Angle View Mode which I didn't find I use a lot. The 5MP selfie camera does not give a very clear image but will get the job done. The camera also has a gesture mode that will count down and take the picture after you show the piece sign with your hands. Video wise is is really good, videos have a good manual focus and an okay video stabilization.

Screen

The IPS screen on the Blade V2 is rather nice to look at even though it is a 720p screen. It is easy to see in direct sunlight and very smooth to navigate.

Apart from the back that is a little to sharp to hold for long periods of time (which you can easily fix with a case), this phone is actually quite great to use day to day. The ZTE Blade V2 is certainly the best phone to buy if you are on a budget but still are looking for quality.
